ReGe Strat - Resource efficient municipality

The project aims at providing information and awareness among the Austrian municipalities regarding the issue of "resources" in three focal areas (sustainable procurement, inter-communal cooperation, sustainable land use). The project lays the basis of a strategy towards a stronger, long-term focus on this issue in the municipalities.

The project "Development of a strategy to position the issue" resources" in the Austrian municipalities and initiation of follow-up implementation (ReGeStrat)" successfully completed its core phase: the implementation of the intro and networking workshops in 2018, the accompanying of the pilot activities and the creation of the Strategy for resource efficiency in Austrian municipalities.

In autumn 2018, the project "Vocational Training for Chefs and Executive Chefs of Large-Scale Kitchens in Sustainable Food and Kitchen Management (ReKuK)" was successfully concluded. The project was funded by the EU programme Erasmus +. The project Leader RMA implemented it in cooperation with the University of South Bohemia (Chechia), Thüringer Ökoherz (Germany) and the Italian Association for Organic Agriculture - Liguria (Italy).

Little Foot Villach 01 - the ecological footprint of pupils

The goal of the project is to teach pupils of the 6th form in Villach the ecological footprint, thus preparing for future challenges like energy efficiency, resource management, biodiversity, climate and environemt protection, etc. The children should be encouraged to a suistainable consumption and a gentle handling with nature. Furthermore the project should stimulate the pupils to communicate their knowledge and ideas to their surroundings.

Das Projekt „little foot“ bringt SchülerInnen der Unter- und Oberstufe von AHS, BHS, HTL, HAK, NMS u.a. im Rahmen von 4-stündigen Workshops den ökologischen Fußabdruck (ö. F.) nach W.Rees und M.Wackernagel nahe. Bis Ende Jänner 2015 wurden seit Beginn insgesamt 42 Workshops durchgeführt. Im Basismodul lernen die Kinder das Prinzip des Ökologischen Fußabdrucks kennen, sie spielen und rechnen ihren eigenen Fußabdruck aus.
